6 Terms + 1 Internship = MBA!!! This is the requirement of AUA School of Business and Management.

Many of MBA2 students are in hustle and bustle of their Internships. There is still one more term to go and the happy graduation ceremony will be the reward for 2 year “torture”.

What is an Internship in reality? “Internship is a system of on-the-job training for white-collar jobs, similar to an apprenticeship” (and YES, I know wikipedia is not the most reliable source). As for an intern: “A student or a recent graduate undergoing supervised practical training.”

Does this +1 really serve for what it is supposed to? Are the MBA students of AUA really getting the training they need in local companies? And if they are what is the guarantee their “internshiper” will become their employer?

Questions which I don’t want to answer…

What is obvious is that interns will go on looking for “useful” internships and the companies will continue searching for “Super-Interns”.

I am even more sorry but hardly any of my classmates has ever met the president unless there was an issue, mostly something negative.

Mr. Boghosian provided with his personal e-mail and asked us to drop him a message whenever we want to discuss something. You may consider this a simple and logical step from the university president but we were happy to be treated personally. Read the rest of this entry »

March 27 – tree planting! MBA was also among the participants. That was because nothing in AUA goes without MBA.

Tree planting turned out to be fun and an opportunity to socialize. We were provided gloves, shovels and all the other stuff which we needed. Nearly everyone was present. Read the rest of this entry »
